Crazy scenes as security officers rush to rescue Peter Obi from cheering supporters

2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi was recently swarmed by supporters who had gathered to welcome him to Imo state to join in the campaign ahead of the November 11 governorship election.

On Tuesday, Peter Obi paid a visit to Imo state to flag-off the gubernatorial campaign for Labour Party governorship candidate, Athan Achonu.

Upon his arrival at the Kanu Nwanwko Sports Complex in Owerri, Peter Obi was swamped by excited supporters popularly known as Obidients causing the security personnel to immediately rush to guard him and assist him away from the crowd.

The supporters who could not hold back their joy at the sight of Obi cheered and hailed him.

Among those present at the campaign venue include; Abia state Governor Dr Alex Otti; LP chairman, Julius Abure and members of the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the party.

Speaking at the campaign, Obi assured that the Labour Party has all it takes to reposition Nigeria for good.

He also noted that Achonu is the only legitimate governorship candidate for the Labour Party for the governorship poll in Imo State.
