Court gives fresh verdict on Nnamdi Kanu’s case, sends strong warning to DSS

The Federal High Court in Abuja on Thursday, May 4th, adjourned till May 22 a lawsuit filed by the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, against the Department of State Services (DSS).

In the suit filed through Mike Ozekhome (SAN), Kanu is seeking an order compelling the DSS to allow him to have access to his physician, The Punch reported.

Justice Binta Nyako warned against delay in the case on Wednesday, May 3rd, following an oral application by DSS counsel, Idowu Awo, praying for more time to respond to a further affidavit served on him by Ozekhome, Leadership report added.

Court gives verdict on Eze Ndigbo that threatens to bring IPOB to Lagos

Fredrick Nwajagu, aged 67, the leader of the Igbo community, the Igbo of Ajao Estate in Lagos, has been granted bail by a chief magistrate court sitting in the Sabo area of Yaba in the state.

The Igbo leader was arraigned before the court over his alleged threat that he would invite the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

The defendant was granted bail by Peter Nwaka, the chief magistrate, with the sum of N1 million with 4 sureties. The court added that all the sureties must be Lagos residents.
