A young man identified as Taiwo Durodola has invented a body temperature-reading device.

Durodola, who is a member of the National Youth Service Corps, invented the device in a bid to stem the tide of the COVID-19.

Report indicates that the device does not require human intervention while in operation.

In recent times, Nigerian youths have been demonstrating their creativity, and if given the needed assistance, they will excel in the world of technology.

A young Nigerian man and member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Nasarawa state, Taiwo Durodola, has invented a body temperature-reading device.

The disclosure was made by the NYSC, which said the device does not require human intervention while in operation, The Cable reports.

In a statement by the NYSC's director of press and public relations, Adenike Adeyemi, the device, which is called T-Smart, can also be monitored remotely, Legit.ng has learnt.

Durodola, who is a member of the National Youth Service Corps, invented the device in a bid to stem the tide of the COVID-19.

She noted the inventions that corps members across the country have come up with in a bid to stem the tide of the deadly disease

She said T-Smart will give a big boost to Nigeria's efforts to contain the virus in the country, adding that it is highly sensitive and accurate.

Adeyemi said the device has a resolution of 0.02 degree Celsius, which makes it possible to detect the smallest change in human body temperature.

In other news, a young Nigerian man identified as Tosin Arogundade has invented a pressing iron that uses gas.

Tosin said he alongside one other person had been working on the project for three years, adding that their invention is up to standard.

The young man's invention is timely in a country where electricity is one of the major problems facing the populace.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that a young Nigerian inventor identified as Usman Dalhatu was recognised by the federal government which finalised plans to collaborate with him.

Recall that the young inventor built a portable E-vent automatic ventilator and road sweeping machine.
