Complete standstill as car crawl on snail pace on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway

High influx of Lagos-bound vehicles has crippled traffic on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

The traffic was compounded by ongoing reconstruction of the highway at the Berger end of the ever-busy road and the wee-hour downpour.

As at 10.30am, it would take motorists more than three hours to travel from Ibafo in Ogun State to the Otedola Bridge in Lagos.

Without the traffic, it takes between 15 to 20 minutes to cover the stretch.

Frustrated travellers were seen lamenting the pains they go through as a result of the failure of the contractor handling the project to make the alternative roads passable while the reconstruction lasts.
