In some photos shared on his Twitter page, Bola Tinubu arrived at his polling unit in Ikeja, Lagos to cast his ballot. He was seen in the company of his wife, Oluremi Tinubu.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of the All Progressives Congress is seeking a second term in office.
He was seen campaigning alongside Bola Tinubu prior to the 2023 presidential election.
Although the APC lost Lagos state votes in the presidential election to the Labour Party flagbearer, Peter Obi, they are hoping to win the governorship election and retain control of the state.
The 2023 governorship and state assembly election is currently ongoing in 28 states.
This election will determine the candidate that will governor the states for the next four years.
Several candidates of various political parties are all seeking re-election while other new candidates are hoping to win to make a change in the country.
