Following completion of the College of Education, Abudu campus in Orhionmwon local government area of Edo state, Governor Godwin Obaseki has confirmed the institution’s readiness to commence academic activities.

Gov Obaseki confirmed the development on Thursday at the State College of Agriculture Iguoriakhi, near Benin City.

Obaseki said his administration promised to “rebuild” all state-owned tertiary institutions, hence the revamping of campuses at Abudu, Afuze, Igueben and others.

According to him, “you will recall that we promised to rebuild all our tertiary institutions, we have almost finished work while the School of Nursing accreditation process is on and hopefully, admission will start later this month or very early next month.

“The College of Education has also progressed in terms of work, the Abudu Campus is ready, we are revamping Igueben and we have started work in Afuze. Here again, accreditation has been completed and the admission process has started”.

However, while January 2022 has been fixed for the reopening of the Agriculture college at Iguoriakhi, the date for the inauguration of the completed multi-million naira ultra-modern Abudu campus is still being expected.
