Christian correspondents hold end-of-year forum

The Association of Christian Correspondents of Nigeria has unveiled plans for its 2025 End-of-Year Forum, scheduled for November 21 at the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Ikeja, Lagos.

In a statement on Saturday, the President of ACCoN, Adeola Ogunlade, said the forum was designed to serve as a reflective and strategic platform for faith-based journalists, policymakers, and church leaders to engage in constructive dialogue on how Christian pilgrimage can contribute to the nation’s spiritual and socioeconomic advancement.

According to him, the forum, themed “Socioeconomic Benefits of Pilgrimage to the Nigerian State,” will bring together a diverse group of participants, including policymakers, church leaders, Christian communicators, and media practitioners.

Ogunlade disclosed that Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, is expected as special guest of the event.

“The Keynote Address will be delivered by the Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Christian Pilgrims Commission, Bishop Stephen Adegbite, while the President of the Christian Tourism Practitioners Association of Nigeria, Rev. Israel Kristilere, will serve as Guest Speaker,” Ogunlade said.

He noted, “Pilgrimage is not just a spiritual exercise; it also has the potential to boost our nation’s tourism, strengthen interfaith understanding, and promote values of integrity and patriotism. This forum will provide a platform for leaders to share perspectives on how faith can influence sustainable national growth.”

Ogunlade disclosed that the forum would also feature interactive sessions, networking opportunities, and recognition of distinguished Christian leaders and institutions that have contributed to the advancement of faith-based communication and national development.
