Chippa United eyes Black Stars goalkeeper as Nwabali replacement

Chippa United have set their sight on Balck Stars goalkeeper Richard Ofori as potential replacement for Stanley Nwabali.

The Super Eagles goalkeeper have reportedly been linked with away from the PSL side following his remarkable campaign at the last AFCON.

The 27-year-old became the first Nigerian goalkeeper to keep four clean sheets at a single Nations Cup tournament in Ivory Coast as he helped the Super Eagles to a second-place finish.

Queens Park Rangers are reportedly keen on the former Enyimba shot stopper.

Nwabali has also been linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League with interest from El-Ettifaq.

Soccer Laduma reports that Chippa United have identified Ofori as possible replacement should Nwabali leave the club at the end of the season.

Ofori was Ghana's number one goalkeeper at the last Nations Cup in Ivory Coast.
