Ugandan actress and reality TV star Zarinah Hassan, popularly known as Zari The Boss Lady, has stirred controversy by sharing her views on relationships and financial responsibility.

The businesswoman, while speaking during a livestream on TikTok, argued that if a man prevents a woman from working and also fails to o provide for their basic needs, then the woman can seek support elsewhere.

Zari explained that some men insist their partners stay unemployed, only to abandon their responsibility of catering for them, leaving the women financially dependent and struggling. She advised that if a woman in such situation finds another person willing to offer both emotional and financial support, she should not feel guilty about accepting it, since her partner has failed to fulfil his role.

She described such act as an act of self-defence rather than infidelity, stating that the woman should not feel guilty about making such move.
