'Celebrate me now that I’m alive' – Hanks Anuku to Nigerians

Veteran Nollywood actor Hanks Anuku believes he should be honored while he is still alive.

He made this known in a post on his Instagram page with the caption “Celebrate and appreciate me now that I’m alive.”

Hanks Anuku has battled financial difficulties in the last few years. In November 2023, he appealed to Nigerians to assist him financially claiming he was jobless.

That same year, the actor was spotted wandering the streets of Nigeria and has in some instances been seen engaging in troubling activities. This led to rumors he might be suffering from a mental breakdown.

He, however, denied the rumors, stating that he is doing well.

He added that he drinks alcohol to help him cope with the difficulties of his continuous fight with depression.

Anuku often stars as a villain in Nollywood films.
