Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has said that Arsenal have an advantage going into the Carabao Cup final this Sunday.
He said the Gunners’ long wait for a trophy has made them hungrier than his team.
Speaking to the media before the Carabao Cup final, Guardiola said that Arsenal are the top team in Europe.
He praised their team spirit in defending together and working on all aspects of the game.
“Arsenal control many things and many aspects of the game. The long period of not achieving success creates a strong drive, and there is also support and unity in other areas.
“They decide when to stay deep, when to hide, how to build up the ball, when to play long balls, and how to deal with second balls, so many good things.
“In the Champions League, they won all their group stage matches and drew against Leverkusen, making it a major challenge to showcase their true level,” he said via ManCity website.
Guardiola emphasized that the final is a significant moment for his players, highlighting it as a major challenge.
He said, “We have played at Wembley 22 times in the last 10 years, it’s an honour and a big challenge. For the team, it’s a big moment. When we get to the final, no matter who we’re up against, it’s always really hard.
“We see the level in Europe, other leagues and any competition. To be there, we have to see it as a big chance because we never know when it will come around again.”
The two teams drew 1-1 when they played each other in the Premier League earlier this season.
Erling Haaland scored the first goal within the first 10 minutes, and then Gabriel Martinelli tied the game later in the stoppage time.
