'Can't you keep malice?' - Man questions Peter Obi as he meets Wole Soyinka

The presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the recently concluded presidential election, Peter Obi on Sunday, May 7, paid a courtesy visit to Nobel Laureate, Prof Wole Soyinka.

Obi's visit came a month after the playwright had a run-in with the Obidients movement, as Obi's fans were known.

In addition to criticizing the voter repression that was seen in several polling units in Lagos, Soyinka also charged Obidients of fascism for refusing to "entertain corrective criticism."

Many people were astounded when Obi posted a tweet about his meeting with Wole Soyinka on his Twitter page. They couldn't understand why he would choose to be cordial when he could have been indifferent.

A twitter user identified as @Master_inno took to Obi's comment section to query him on whether he is able to keep malice.

He wrote: "Waka waka. Can't you keep malice"

Many social media users also reacted to the tweep's comment stating that Obi is the kind of person who values peace above all else and who typically treats others with respect, hence the reason why he wasn't spiteful against Soyinka.
