Defender Chidozie Awaziem said playing Cameroon twice is a good test for the Super Eagles ahead of the FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Awaziem in an interview with the Super Eagles media team said the friendlies will help the three-time African champions to know what to expect when the qualifiers for Qatar 2022 start in September.

The Super Eagles will trade tackles with the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon for the second time in four days this evening.

The Gernot Rohr tutored lost the previous match 1-0 on Friday, and according to Awaziem, playing Cameroon is a massive boost for the squad.

“The game is a good test for us because we have bigger ones ahead of us, talking about the qualifiers, we are fully prepared and ready to fight for victory.”

The former Leganes centre half who will start the game in place of injured William Troost-Ekong said the team will try to get their pound of flesh come Tuesday evening.

“I’m ready for the game and we just want to do well, because it will help our confidence and the coach to build a stronger team, so will have to win,” he concluded.
