Special Assistant to President Buhari on New Media, Tolu Ogunlesi has gotten a threat of an intended beatdown due to the Government's general ineptitude.

The intended beatdown was actually a prediction from one of Nigeria's finest writers, David Hundeyin who served a note of warning to the media aide to seriously watch his back.

Hundeyin who would not be cowed into silence or scared like many Nigerians tweeted:

"Hi @ToluOgunlesi, it has started. Mark this tweet. You will show your face in public one day when this is over and people will gather and beat you. You won't even disappear into irrelevance like the others. People will actively look for you to beat you. Just wait and watch."

It didn't just end there, Hundeyin actually stood by his words, refusing to delete the tweet or stand down.

"If this tweet is choking your intestines, go and buy analgesic medication. The fear you people have feared for 60 years has not given you electricity and running water, and half of you are broke and miserable. If you like continue fearing. Sha keep it away from my TL." he added.

The thread went on and on.

Bring Back Our Girls advocate, Aisha Yesufu was on David's side.

Tolu is still yet to respond at press time.

Nonetheless, Nigeria has been slow in dealing with the spread of coronavirus. So far, the number of suspected cases of coronavirus has jumped to 19 in Nigeria.

Out of the 19 suspected cases announced yesterday, 4 turned out positive for the virus. On the part of the people, the Government's silence has been deafening and the refusal to lock down the country has made the leaders insincere.
