COVID-19: Kalu reunites with family in Nigeria after leaving France

Nigerian football international, Samuel Kalu, has reunited with his family in Nigeria after being granted permission to leave by his French club over the coronavirus outbreak.

Since the pandemic broke out in China, France has recorded a total of 44,550 coronavirus cases and 3,024 deaths according to Worldometers.

Nigeria on the other hand, confirmed 20 new cases late on Monday, taking it to a total of 131 cases and two deaths, according to the NCDC.

The Bordeaux striker, according to French online news outlet, L’Equipe, is among the five Bordeaux players who have been granted permission to leave France

Others are Guinea’s Francois Kamano, Edson Mexer of Mozambique, Serbia’s Vuksain Jovanoic and Spain’s Ruben Pardo.
