The burial arrangement for late former lawmaker representing Ogun East Senatorial District, Senator Buruji Kashamu, has been announced by his family.

Kashamu was announced to have died of COVID-19 at a private hospital in Lagos.

The former lawmaker will be laid to rest according to Islamic rites.

His spokesman, Austin Oniyokor revealed that the burial will take place in Ijebu Igbo.

A statement reads in part: “Kashamu, 62, died today (Saturday) at a private hospital in Lagos, after a brief illness.

“His remains will be interred by 12 noon tomorrow, Sunday, August 9, 2020, in his Ijebu-Igbo country home, in accordance with Islamic rites
