Buhari vs Atiku: Senate deputy leader, Boroffice reacts to judgement -

As reactions continue to trail Wednesday’s Court of Appeal judgement in favour of President Muhammadu Buhari, Senate Deputy Leader, Prof. Ajayi Boroffice said, the outcome was the will of Nigerians.

He hailed the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT) for affirming the mandate freely given to President Muhammadu Buhari by majority of Nigerians on February 23, 2019.

In a press statement signed by his media aide, Kayode Fakuyi, which was made available to DAILY POST in Abuja on Thursday, the Senator said, “the next level flight has weathered through storm and distraction.”

“Evidently, the warm welcome and wide jubilations that trailed the ruling delivered by PEPT clearly showed the judgement is consistent with the expectations of majority of Nigerians.”

“Hearty felicitation to President Muhammadu Buhari, all members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and all Nigerians on the well-deserved victory at the tribunal.”

“Without mincing words, the judgement represents stability and progress for our dear Nation. The President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration will continue to implement the Next Level agenda with a focus on restoring growth, investing in people and building a globally competitive economy.”

Meanwhile, the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has reacted stating that it would proceed to the Supreme Court over the judgement which was delivered by the five man panel headed by Justice Mohammed Garba.

National Chairman of PDP, Prince Uche Secondus said, they were optimistic that the nation’s apex court would give its Presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar judgement.
