Buhari sends well-wishes as Pope Francis undergoes surgery

President Buhari has sent well wishes to Pope Francis, Head of the Catholic Church as he prepares for ​scheduled surgery of the colon.

This was confirmed by president’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu in a statement in Abuja.

The President called for prayers for Nigerians and the global community as the Pontiff goes in for this routine operation.

Buhari wished Pope Francis a quick recovery.
