Buhari's former aide Bashir Ahmad tackles Peter Obi over visit to Mosque

Bashir Ahmad, a former aide to ex-President Muhammadu Buhari, has taken to social media to tackle Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party.

In a post shared on his X page on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, Ahmad noted that Obi loves drama and is prepared to act in many scripts from now till the next election in 2027.

According to him, Peter Obi who was Governor of Anambra State for eight years never joined the Muslims to break Ramadan fast but suddenly had a change of mind.

He wrote: “Peter Obi loves dramas; he would have to act in many scripts from now to 2027 and still end up producing an unsellable movie in the ballot boxes. I just watched his latest hit, his visit to a mosque in Nyaya where he joined Muslims during their breaking of the Ramadan fast.

“For eight years as a governor, Obi didn’t deem it fit to break fast with Muslims in Anambra even years after leaving office. 2027 politics is in the offing.”

The former presidential aide also disclosed his visit to Lafia, the capital of Nasarawa State where he met the Emir of Lafia, Honourable Justice Sidi Bage Muhammad JSC Rtd and the Governor, Abdullahi Sule.

“I had the honour of travelling to Lafia in Nasarawa state, where I had the privilege of meeting with the Emir of Lafia, Honourable Justice Sidi Bage Muhammad JSC Rtd, a very revered, leader and also extended my courtesy to Governor Abdullahi Sule.
