Buhari's death at 82 not punishment - Tinubu's aide

Presidential aide, Dada Olusegun, has said former President Muhammadu Buhari's death at the age of 82 is not a punishment as some would want it to be.

MyNigeria reported that Buhari's death was announced on Sunday. The former president passed away in London after a prolonged illness.

A few minutes after the news broke out, some netizens took to social media to express delight at his death, expressing belief that he had been punished for whatever wrong they felt he had meted out to them.

Reacting, a staunch supporter of President Bola Tinubu, Woye, slammed all those jubilating over Buhari's death, reminding them that the Northern part of the country, where the deceased hails from, will remember their actions soon.

Woye shared on X, "Every insult you dey tweet against the death of President Buhari, the North will remember. Continue."

His words were corroborated by Tinubu's aide, Olusegun, who reminded such people that Buhari's death was not a retribution.

He wrote on X, "Not just the North. Buhari was loved all over this nation and we won't forget those who disparaged him in his death. If you think dying at 82 was punishment or retribution.... Please continue."
