Biafra factional leader Simon Ekpa responds to being declared wanted by DHQ

Factional leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Simon Ekpa, has reacted to news of his name being mentioned on the wanted list by the Defence Headquarters, DHQ.

On Saturday, March 23, 2024, the Director, Defence Media Operations, Edward Buba, announced in an interview with Punch that a banner would be placed to list the over 90 wanted terrorists operating in some geopolitical zones.

According to Buba, the names and details of these persons would be posted in various locations, embassies and airports.

Among those declared wanted includes the notorious bandit leader terrorising Zamfara, Bello Turji, who had wreaked havoc in the Northwest regions of the country.

Reacting to the announcement, the Self-acclaimed Prime Minister of Biafra, based in Finland said the Biafra government will not challenge the declaration of the Prime Minister of Biafra wanted by the Nigeria government in court.

He described the declaration as frivolous and nonsense, adding that Biafra is not part of Nigeria and will not validate their call out.

Ekpa wrote on his X page;

“The Biafra government will not challenge the declaration of the Prime Minister of Biafra Simon Ekpa wanted by the Nigeria terrorist @HQNigerianArmy in any Nigeria court.

There is no court of competent jurisdiction for the Biafra government to challenge such frivolous declaration.

We are not part of Nigeria by all ramifications and therefore will not validate any of their nonsense in any Nigeria law court.

The declaration of Simon Ekpa wanted by the Nigeria terrorist organisation called @HQNigerianArmy is dead on arrival like Dodo.

I call on Biafra Defence forces to intensify their defence against Nigeria state terrorism in Biafraland.

Meanwhile the IPOB Nigeria is set to challenge their own in their Nigeria court. Goodluck to them.

The Biafra Government hereby declare the following terrorists and sponsors of terrorism as a persona non grata in Biafra territory until declaration and beyond.

They are:

1. Hope Uzodinma of Imo state
2. Soludo of Anambra State
3. Mbah of Enugu State
4. All Service Chief
5. Illegitimate President Tinubu
6. All South East Senators and House of representatives members, except Chief “Chinyelugo Imo”
7. All GOCs of Nigeria within Biafra territory
8 All CPs within Biafra territory.
9. Illegitimate VP Shettima

The above sponsors of terrorism, ethnic cleansing, killing and wanton destruction of lives and properties of Biafrans must be arrested anywhere you see them within Biafra territory.

More detailed names of the sponsors of terrorism in Biafraland and their accomplices will be released soon.”

In a series of posts, the factional leader further wrote;

“Some people in Nigeria sponsor the insecurity. Insecurity was there before Simon Ekpa became the leader of the Biafra Republic. I am not the cause of insecurity in the North, southwest, or middlebelt. The major sponsors of insecurity are the governors, and the Federal Government of Nigeria is complicit. They do it to amass security votes. “The causes of insecurity are long-term misrule and injustices that have melted on the citizens. This has given birth to anarchy all over Nigeria.

“The Government urged Biafrans to remain resolute in their quest for Liberation and Referendum.

“The declaration that Simon Ekpa wanted was because BRGIE had set a date for the Biafra declaration of the restoration of the independent state of Biafra on 2nd December.

“We’ve taken over! We are not slowing down until declaration”
