Finland-based Biafra agitator, Simon Ekpa has taken a swipe at President Bola Tinubu over his speech at the UN headquarters in New York.

On Tuesday, September 19, Tinubu delivered a speech at the UN, where he said that the will of the people must be respected.

He mentioned that the failures in good governance have hindered Africa. But broken promises, unfair treatment and outright exploitation from abroad have also exacted a heavy toll on our ability to progress.

While Tinubu has received praises from several Nigerians, Simon Ekpa disagrees as he took to his X page slam the President.

According to the self-acclaimed Biafra Prime Minister, Tinubu like is predecessor have failed to organise a referendum for the people to chose their destiny.

He wrote;

"Look at this old imbecile, standing on the podium of UN the same organisation that demanded Nigeria to release Mazi Nnamdi Kanu unconditionally within 6months and Nigeria terrorists government violated that ultimatum till today.

The will of the Biafra people is to organise referendum so they can chose their destiny. This ghost walking is here shouting the will of the people must be respected. Has he respected the will of the Biafra people who has been on lockdown for the past two years?"

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) is self determination movement in Nigeria that aims to restore the defunct Republic of Biafra.

IPOB remains proscribed as a terrorist group, having introduced a weekly sit-at-home exercise which has been ongoing since August 2021.

According Simon Ekpa, until the government release their leader, Nnamdi Kanu, the sit-at-home order will continue.
