Controversial crossdresser, Bobrisky has said he merited the ‘Best Dressed Female’ award he won at a recent event despite the controversy it has generated.

Recall Bobrisky was recognized as the Best Dressed Female at the premiere of "Ajanaku: Beast of Two Worlds" on Sunday, March 25th in Lagos.

While the conversation continued on social media, he insisted that he won the award fairly in an Instagram post.

He boasted that he came top ahead of those who claimed to be “real women” to the award.

He wrote, “I love my sisterhood no cap! But e get some haters among them. Una dey claim real women blabla but I won hands down. Who come be the real woman now? Don’t play!”

Born a male, Bobrisky identifies as a female. Not only did Bobrisky turn heads with his stunning look, he also walked away with the award.

The premiere, held at the Circle Mall in Lekki, was a star-studded affair, with Nollywood A-listers like Toyin Abraham, Mercy Aigbe, Odunlade Adekola, Femi Adebayo, and Sola Sobowale gracing the red carpet.

Nigeria’s law prohibits transgender identity and LGBTQ+ rights. Bobrisky’s win brought a lot of reactions from people, some of whom include actress Dayo Amusan and Portable.
