Bayelsa: Apostle Suleman mocks election process in Nigeria

Apostle Johnson Suleman of Omega Fire Ministries has reacted to the Supreme Court ruling which sacked David Lyon as governor-elect of Bayelsa State.

Lyon was sacked after it was found that his deputy had presented a forged certificate to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

Reacting to the Supreme Court judgement and the recent elections in Nigeria, Apostle Suleman tweeted:

“Nigeria politics is becoming comical. INEC conducts election and announces results but the supreme court declares winners.

“So even if you don’t do well in election just be ready to do well in court..political quagmire, catalytic and epileptic electoral process.”

Meanwhile, Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has called on the Federal Government to call to order the APC national chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, over comments made in regards the Supreme Court sacking of David Lyon as governor-elect in Bayelsa State.

MyNigeria.com reported that Oshiomhole, while reacting to the judgement, stated that it would be challenged in court and that no one will be sworn-in on Friday.

“No other candidate has the constitutional spread to be sworn in as governor; the judgement lacks fruit of justice.

“Our lawyers are already studying the judgment to take the necessary legal action,” Oshiomhole said.

In reaction to the APC national chairman's statement, Wike stated that he has no power to kick against the Supreme Court judgment

He said: "Who is Oshiomhole to determine who has spread in a state? Supreme Court has made a ruling. It is unfortunate for Oshiomhole to come forward to say that nobody will be sworn in. "He believes that he has the forces to cause crisis. He is arrogating powers to himself, which is not good "
