Bayelsa: APC will challenge judgement, no one will be sworn-in on Friday - Oshiomhole

Adams Oshiomhole, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has reacted to the Supreme Court judgment which sacked David Lyon as winner of the Bayelsa State gubernatorial election.

The judgment which was delivered by Mary Odili was informed by a five man panel which declared that Lyon’s deputy, Degi-Eremieoyo, contested the election with a forged certificate presented to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

Reacting to the judgment, Oshiomhole stated that it would be challenged in court and that no one will be sworn-in on Friday.

“No other candidate has the constitutional spread to be sworn in as governor; the judgement lacks fruit of justice.

“Our lawyers are already studying the judgment to take the necessary legal action,” Oshiomhole said.
