Battle between Obidients and Bashir Ahmad over borehole Peter Obi provided a community in Kaduna

A fierce battle has emerged on social media between the former presidential aide, Bashir Ahmad and supporters of Peter Obi popularly known as Obidients.

In a tweet shared on April 9, 2024, Bashir mocked Peter Obi over a borehole he provided to some members of a community in Kaduna State.

Obi who is currently on a tour in the north, visiting some communities and pledging cash and some basic amenities to the people of those states received criticisms from one of his fierce critics, Bashir Ahmad.

Ahmad wrote; "Wow. This looks very presidential. Thank you, His Excellency Peter Obi. Your vice president, Dr. Datti Baba-Ahmed, who is from Zaria and the whole community must appreciate your gesture. My only curiosity here is about the source of the water."

His comment brought about massive reactions from Nigerians. While some condemned him saying Obi's provision of a borehole was better than the terrible water situation being experienced by northerners, others questioned his contribution.

He responded saying; "Trust me, I did better things than what Peter did in Zaria."
