Bandits murder one, injure three in Katsina state

Unknown bandits on Sunday, July 26, 2021, attacked the Kukar Babangida community in Jibia Local Government Area of Katsina State, taking the life of one person and injuring three others.

According to residents of the community, the bandits arrived at the community around 11 p.m., shooting randomly as they conducted a house-to-house search for livestock and other valuables they could make away with.

The bandits made away with about 300 livestock as well as motorcycles and clothes.

“They came around 11 p.m. and conducted a house-to-house search for livestock. They shot one man dead and injured three others. The deceased was buried Monday morning,” a source stated.

According to the source, the three injured victims are receiving treatment at health facilities around.
