Football-loving fans in Nigeria took to social media to applaud Super Eagles duo Victor Osimhen and Samuel Chukwueze for their stellar performances in the World Cup qualifiers against Benin Republic.
Osimhen starred as the Super Eagles demolished the Cheetahs 4-0 at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo, to qualify for the playoffs.
The Galatasaray striker netted a brilliant hat-trick to give Eric Chelle's side a comprehensive victory over Gernot Rohr's team.
Samuel Chukwueze assisted two of Osimhen's goals after replacing the suspended Ademola Lookman on the right flank.
Frank Onyeka came off the bench to add the fourth goal in stoppage time as the Super Eagles cruised to a comfortable victory to keep their World Cup hopes alive.
The telepathy between Osimhen and Chukwueze during the game was one of the major talking points among fans on social media.
The duo have played together since Nigeria's triumph at the U-17 FIFA World Cup in Chile back in 2015.
