Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Bode George has lashed out at Chief Spokesman for the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign, Festus Keyamo over comments he made about him following a false media reportage.

The Leadership Newspaper in a report had said that Bode George had changed his chance of working for or with President Tinubu in an official or unofficial capacity.

In the report, Bode George is reported to have said: My reaction, as I have said, there is nothing personal. Look, I trained in the military. You know in the military whoever is in the trench next to you is your brother. When you go out to say what is our mission in the military? It is to defend our country. If he comes and says look, what do you feel about this, what do you feel about that, let’s work together in the interest of this country, why would I refuse? This nation also trained me.

‘’The military trained me. There is no part of the world that I have not been to, training and doing exercises. This country trained us. So, we must be able to put something back to the system that would also positively impact on the younger ones, to put a smile on their faces.’’

Keyamo responded in a tweet on Friday, June 2 with a screenshot of the report.

"Pick your pen and start writing. Bode George said he would work for Tinubu if he invited him," he wrote.

Discussing the issues and other pressing matters that concern Tinubu's presidency, Bode George speaking in an interview on Arise TV denied making the comments attributed to him. He clarified that the said portal from which the story originated from where not even at the press briefing.

The retired Naval chief also took a swipe at Festus Keyamo for his reaction.

"I am not a green chicken. I can fight when I have to but I don't do it. In fact there was one of their lackeys who was quoted, it my son who called me that daddy hear what this fellow said. And I want to advice him, back away from me. He has had enough and that is the Keyamo boy."

"I didn't say that and I will never say it. I am not looking for any job and I have reached the end of my own public career".
