BREAKING: Attah Of Igala, Ameh Oboni, dies

The Chairman of the Kogi State traditional council, Dr Micheal Ameh Oboni is dead.

Dr Oboni, who is known by his stool name as Attah of Igala died in Abuja on Wednesday, August 26, in an undisclosed private hospital, Nigerian Tribune reports.

It is unclear what caused the demise of the paramount head, however, Daily Post reports that he passed on after a brief ailment.

According to Nigerian Tribune, the Kogi State government and the traditional council in Igala are yet to issue any statement on the demise of the paramount ruler.

Until his death, he was the Attah of Igala, chairman, Kogi state traditional council.
