Legendary presenter, Ifedayo Olarinde, popularly known as Daddy Freeze has announced his intention to quit Number One Hit Music Station, Cool FM.

The presenter made this declaration on his show "After Dark" with Kaylah Oniwo this evening. Promising to give more details about his exit, he said he would be making a public announcement on-air tomorrow about the full details.

He revealed that his last show for the radio station would hold tomorrow as well.

His decision to exit Cool FM was fraught with tears and several memories. All of the listeners called in to wish him well as a fellow presenter broke down in tears on the radio during the live show.

Top of the praises for the ace presenter, popularly known as Daddy Freeze came from Oladotun Ojuolape Kayode, also known as the Energy gad, Dotun, a hypeman and fellow colleague who spent close to five minutes on the phone praising the Convener of the FreeTheSheeple Movement.

He thanked him for paving the way for himself and DJ Exclusive.

"You are a great guy. A lot of people don't know you or how close we are. Thank you for everything you did for me and how you helped me keep my job. When I wanted to move from radio, you asked me to come back. You are the reason why I stayed. If I never stayed, I would never have become an energy gad or the superstar on radio.

"A lot of people misjudged you but you are a good man. You built someone from nothing. You are one of the best broadcasters I have ever had. You are the Mayweather of radio and very vast. Thank you for letting us know more about our cars," Dotun said.

Dotun kept showering praises and prayers on the presenter who was more than shocked to hear these confessions from a fellow colleague and friend.

Daddy Freeze was enmeshed in several controversies as he tackled Pastors and influential personalities in the last decade of his career with the highly famed station. He headlined the Table of Men sponsored by Guinness and was reinstated in 2016 after being sacked by Cool FM.

Sources at the popular radio station said that Daddy Freeze fell out with Amin Mousalli, owner of Cool FM, after failing to show up at a meeting held with presenters.

An enraged Mousalli proceeded to fire him but series of entreaties on behalf of the controversial presenter made him have a change of heart.

Freeze started his radio career in 1996 with the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State (BCOS), Ibadan and joined Cool FM in 2001 working in radio presenting, television and general entertainment. He was a senior broadcaster at Cool FM Lagos.

He is also an event compere. He has hosted a number of music concerts, comedy shows and Nollywood premieres in Nigeria, Ghana and the United Kingdom.

He is a serial award winner and respected legend in the industry of talk.
