BBNaija Lockdown: Ebuka welcomes 20 contestants into house for Season5

The fifth season of the BBNaija reality TV show went live on July 19, 2020 as regular host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, welcomed the 20 housemates into the Big Brother house.

The twenty housemates will spend 10 weeks hustling for the N85 million grand price up for grabs for the winner.

Although not all housemates will make it to the final, the battle for survival starts today as BBNaija Lockdown version kick off.

Prior to today's welcoming, the housemates have been in isolation for two weeks as preventive measure put in place against the deadly coronavirus.

The N85 million grand prize consists of a N30 million cash prize; a two-bedroom apartment courtesy Revolution Plus; a top of the range SUV from Nigerian automaker, Innoson Motors; a trip to Dublin courtesy Guinness; home appliances courtesy Scanfrost up for grabs.

Others are a trip to Dubai packaged by Travelbeta; a year’s supply of Indomie noodles, Munch it, and Colgate toothpaste; a year’s supply of Pepsi, a branded chiller, trip to watch the UEFA Champions League finale; and a brand new Oppo mobile smartphone.

The Chief Executive Officer, MultiChoice Nigeria, John Ugbe said, “The fifth season of BBNaija marks a major milestone in the reality TV series.
