Nigerian striker Taiwo Awoniyi has returned to full training at Nottingham Forest ahead of the upcoming season.
The 27-year-old sustained a serious abdominal injury toward the latter part of last season and was placed under induced coma after going under the knife.
He missed the Tricky Trees’ final Premier League game of the season against Chelsea at the City Ground after returning from the hospital.
The former Union Berlin striker joined his teammates in training for the first time since his injury on Tuesday, July 15.
The club has planned to introduce him gradually into the team until he returns to full fitness.
Awoniyi will be entering his third season with Nottingham Forest, having joined the Tricky Trees from the Bundesliga in the summer of 2022.
