Atiku visits top APC chieftain Orji Kalu, details emerge

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, paid a visit to Senate Chief Whip, Senator Orji Kalu, following the death of his wife, Ifeoma.

Confirming the visit, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) took to his Facebook page.

It was gathered that Atiku arrived at Kalu’s Abuja residence at 3.30 pm, on Wednesday, April 27, to expressed sadness over the loss.

Atiku urged him to take solace in the fact that his wife lived a purposeful life.

He also described the deceased as a virtuous woman who committed to the service of humanity.

Atiku prayed to God to grant the deceased a peaceful rest and the family the fortitude to bear the loss.

Kalu on his part, thanked Atiku for his visit in his time of grief.

Orji Kalu's wife, Dr Ifeoma died at the age of 61.

It was reported that Atiku and Kalu went into a closed-door meeting during his visit.
