Atalanta reduce Lookman asking price amid Everton, Atletico interest

Italian Serie A side Atalanta have reportedly lowered the asking price for Nigeria international Ademola Lookman.

Recent reports suggest that La Dea have reduced their valuation of the winger from €50m to €35m.

Lookman has been the subject of transfer speculation since last summer after coming close to a move to Inter Milan.

The deal ultimately collapsed after Atalanta insisted on a €50m transfer fee, which the Nerazzurri deemed too expensive.

According to transfer specialist Ekrem Konur, Atalanta are now prepared to accept a fee as low as €35m for the 28-year-old, who is reportedly on the radar of his former club Everton and several other European sides.

Despite an inconsistent run of form at club level, Lookman was one of Nigeria’s standout performers at the recently concluded Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), registering three goals and four assists in six appearances.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has also reported that Spanish giants Atletico Madrid are long-time admirers of the former Leicester City forward.
