Aseyin of Iseyin: Oyo kingmakers elect US-based prince as new monarch

A United States of America based prince, Olawale Sefiu Oyebola has been elected the new Aseyin of Iseyin in Oyo State.

The Aseyin of Iseyin stool became vacant following the death of Oba Salauwudeen Abdulganiy Adekunle on 24th July 2022.

Earlier today, the kingmakers had converged at the palace to elect the 30th Aseyin of Iseyin.

The 55-year-old prince was elected after the 10 kingmakers unanimously voted for him.

Earlier, it was reported that security personnel had cordoned off the palace in in order to forestall break down of law and order.
