'As repulsive as his past was, he is fulfilling his promises' - Netizens hail Tinubu

President Bola Tinubu President Bola Tinubu

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has received a lot of praise from Nigerians for the work he has accomplished in the short time since taking office.

Many Nigerians were taken aback by President Tinubu because they had no idea that the country would see development under his watch because of the circumstances surrounding his prior way of life.

Recall that the President on the day he assumed office removed all subsidies on fuel, recently signed the student loan bill, suspended the governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Godwin Emefiele and also negotiated with the Joint Health Sector Unions (JOHESU) who were on a strike.

Without a doubt President Tinubu has done so much since he went to Aso Rock and many have given himhis flowers.

Here are some praises been given to him

Reno Omokri: "As repulsive as I find some part of his past, I must say that the man has fulfilled and is fulfilling these promises in just two weeks. I am convinced that Waziri Atiku would have been better, and I pray for our petition at the PEPC to succeed. Nevertheless, let me add that If President Tinubu continues like this, there is no way that Nigeria will not reclaim her rightful position as the Giant of Africa."

Equity_ofs:"$1 is now 769 Naira . This is the highest in our chequered history. Welcome to Renewed Hope. Congratulations Nigeria"

DeeOneAyekooto: "The directive of the CBN to allow Commercial Banks trade dollars freely has ended the era of using our foreign reserves to defend Naira. HOPE IS HERE"

MikaelCBernard: "Floating the Naira is good news anytime, black market prices will fall as liquidity will be in the market. But if you do it without removing the fx restrictions on necessary goods, and import restrictions, you’d be inviting bigger problems. Dear Bulaba, don’t copy in part. Copy everything there. Float the Naira and remove import/export restrictions on all legal items. Remove import licenses for sugar, cement, refined petroleum and all the things you monopolized for your billionaire friends. If not, we’d see a temporal pump based on euphoria, and a cascading crash when reality kicks in. The major driver of the black market is import restrictions and bureaucracy"

Letter_to_Jack: "Outright subsidy removal and Floating of the Naira to discover its true value are two very important steps that every Nigerian would nod in agreement to. These decisions appear so simple, yet we wobbled across dangerous economic territories for 8 years cos Ahab is empty-headed."
