As a goalkeeper, I saved two penalties - Osimhen boast as he speaks about goalkeeping role

Super Eagles and Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen has revealed the positions that he started out in his football career as a defender switching to his striking role.

Osimhen who is in superb form for the Italian side this season is currently the highest goalscorer in the league.

In an interview with Sorare he revealed that he was initially a defender and he also stated that he idolized Ivory Coast legend Didier Drogba while growing up.

He said: "It was first a defender, then a goalkeeper for the youth team. So there was a time when they took me with them to play a little tournament, it was a semi-final game. I actually caught two penalties."

"I was the goalkeeper before I became a defender and then a striker."
