Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has reportedly reached out to Victor Osimhen to express the club's interest in bringing him to the Premier League.

According to Arsenal News on X, the Spanish tactician contacted the Galatasaray striker to convince him to consider a move to the Emirates this season.

It is understood that talks between Osimhen and Arsenal have been positive and could pave the way for a possible move for the 27-year-old to North London.

However, Galatasaray remain the main stumbling block between Osimhen and Arsenal, as the Turkish champions have made their intention of not selling Osimhen very clear to the player's suitors.

Osimhen has been tipped as a potential option to provide fresh competition for Viktor Gyokeres in attack for the Premier League title holders.

The former Sporting CP striker has not been able to fully convince Mikel Arteta to nail down the number nine role at the club.

Osimhen could take over the number nine shirt at Arsenal, as Gabriel Jesus has been linked with a move to Napoli in Serie A.
