Videos of some areas in Anambra state, the strong hold of Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, have turned into a ghost town.

Some areas captured showed no person on the streets, shut down businesses and closed doors as the election is ongoing.

Prior to this, Simon Ekpa, a Biafra Spokesperson based in Finland asked all Biafrans to sit-at-home during the election following their call for a separate Nigeria.

Videos of a large crowd of Biafrans taking to the streets to protest ahead of the election surfaced. The people were seen carrying the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) flag as they run along the roads.

In a series of posts on micro blogging site, Twitter, Simon Ekpa following his release from the Finnish custody after his arrest for inciting violence in Nigeria bragged about the silence of the Biafrans.

He wrote;

"This is part of Anambra. Where are the noise makers? 25.2.2023. This is called ghost town activated! 25.2.2023 is a historic day for Biafrans"

"Nigeria terrorist government knows why they were crying about Simon Ekpa but the stup*d and ignorant Mumu Nigerians dont know. Today while they are inside their house they are still bragging"
