The founder of Celebration Church International, Apostle Emmanuel Iren, has revealed the criticism he got after announcing the purchase of a property two weeks ago.
He said that after the purchase, he got numerous calls and messages from people he had not been in touch with for a long time.
He further stated that he came across a comment on Twitter where somebody replied to the good news with... "Instead of them building factories and creating jobs."
He joked that, initially, he felt honoured to be seen as such an influential person. He also mentioned that if asked to lead Nigeria, he would refuse, believing it isn't his calling. He pointed out the lack of unity within the Body of Christ and among so-called born-again individuals.
Furthermore, he clarified that taxes are paid to the government, which citizens do not hold accountable; instead, people come to the Church demanding that donations meant for specific purposes be redirected to them.
He concluded by saying poverty is looking at such people eyeball to eyeball. Sarcastically adding, "I will create job for you, I am coming. Be patient."
