Apart from Abba Kyari, 2 other friends of Buhari's have died within 7 months

Money, they say, can solve all problems but it has no power over death. This is the case of two friends of President Muhammadu Buhari. With all the money, position and influence at their disposal, they all died.

1. Abba Kyari

The first to die is the chief of staff to the president of Nigeria, Abba Kyari. He died on 17 April 2020 at age sixty-seven. Kyari who is seen as Buhari's gatekeeper and confidant, died after a month-long long struggle with COVID-19.He is believed to have contracted the disease during a trip to Germany.

2. Ismaila Isa Funtua

Following him in the death list is Ismaila Isa Funtua, another close friend of the president. He died on Monday, July 20. In fact, when there was allegation that Buhari's government was being controlled by a cabal, Funtua had declared that he was the cabal.

Apart from being Buhari's friend, he was also an in-law to the president.

3. Nda-Isaiah

Another death that have rocked the inner cycle of the president in the year 2020 is the death of Nda-Isaiah. He was the founder and chairman of the Leadership Newspaper. He died at the age of 58 on Friday, December 11.

Legit.ng had earlier observed that the year 2020 was a very challenging year not only for Nigeria but the entire world. The coronavirus pandemic which started in the latter part of 2019 spread like a raging wildfire in 2020, causing a global health and economic crises.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported that Buhari commiserated with the media fraternity, friends, and family of Sam Nda-Isaiah over the death of the renowned columnist.

The Nigerian leader while expressing shock and sadness at the passing of the Leadership Newspapers publisher described Nda-Isaiah as a friend and ally.

Legit.ng gathered that the disclosure was made in a statement on Friday, December 12, by the special adviser to the president on media and publicity, Femi Adesina.
