The National Youth Leader, All Progressives Congress (APC), Dayo Israel, has been slammed for gallivanting while bandits ravage Kwara State, killing and displacing Yoruba people.

This was after he shared a photo of himself alighting from a private jet, while looking all happy and puffed up.

He captioned the photo: "The highest ranking APC official from Southwest Nigeria (NS) and the Third Highest Ranking APC Official from Southwest Nigeria (NYL) alighting from the Aircraft earlier today on National Assignment in IMO State."

This led to a backlash from netizens who reminded him of how he cared about Yoruba people during the electioneering period of 2023 but showed no concern as they are getting killed by Fulani bandits in Kwara.

At a time when blood flows freely in Kwara, when Yoruba sons are being butchered and their wives turned into widows overnight, when mothers are screaming in Oke-Ode and fathers are digging shallow graves for their children, one would expect anyone with a conscience, especially a supposed 'youth leader' from Kwara, to rise to the occasion. But what did Dayo Israel, the so-called National Youth Leader of the APC, do? He proudly posted pictures of himself alighting from a plane, chest puffed out like a peacock, as if Nigeria’s tragedy were nothing more than a runway for his vanity."
