Anambra guber: APC’s victory will determine Igbo presidency in 2023

Former presidential candidate of the United Progressives Party (UPP), Chief Chekwas Okorie, has endorsed the All Progressives Congress (APC) aspirant, Sir Azuka Okwuosa, for Anambra State 2021 governorship election.

Chief Okorie made the endorsement at Sir Azuka Okwuosa Campaign office at Udoka Housing Estate, Awka, yesterday, where he handed over 500 UPP supporters to APC.

He declared: “I hand over the UPP supporters to you now collapsed into the APC structure. You now have double structures. Those I hand over to you know the structures, they know the terrain. Anambra election is important to the Igbo nation worldwide. If the APC wins the Anambra governorship election, a president of Igbo extraction in 2023 will be very easy.

“I always belong to a moving train and we will have free and fair primary election and we will ensure we get nomination for Okwuosa. I will relocate to Anambra thereafter for the actual election to make sure that he wins the governorship election.”

While responding, Okwuosa assured the UPP decampees to the APC of their rightful position in the party, adding that the party must work hard to win the election.
