Former presidential aide Reno Omokri has mocked ex-presidential candidate Peter Obi after the candidate he supported in the 2026 Anambra State Governorship Election lost.

MyNigeria reported that Obi supported his party's candidate, George Moghalu of the Labour Party, in an effort to unseat incumbent Governor Chukwuma Soludo.

However, Moghalu scored 10,576 out of a total of 595,298 votes cast in the election. Even Obi couldn't deliver his polling unit for Moghalu.

Reacting, Omokri wrote, "After all the mouth-making by Peter Obi, all that the Labour Party could secure in the #AnambraDecides2025 was 10,576 out of a total of 595,298 votes cast!

"It is not just that Peter Obi's Labour candidate, Dr George Moghalu, lost the election. It is the extent of his rejection by the people of Anambra that is stunning.

"Despite Peter Obi's rigorous campaign for Mr Moghalu, he could only secure 2% of the total votes. And the ADC was even worse. Just 8,208!

"That is embarrassing! And these are the people who want to unseat a performing President Tinubu?

"The election results reveal how the Obidient movement has been eroded as a political force. Stripped of its ability to use ethnicity and religion to divide the electorate, the organisation collapses like a pack of cards."

In another post, he said, "It is not just that Professor Charles Soludo won the #AnambraDecides2025, it is the extent of his win. It was so overwhelming. Securing 422,664 votes out of a total of 595,298 is a notable and impressive achievement.

"And again, it is not just that Peter Obi's Labour candidate, Dr George Moghalu, lost the election. It is the extent of his rejection by the people of Anambra that is stunning.

"Despite Peter Obi's rigorous campaign for Mr Moghalu, he could only secure 2% of the total cost cast at 10,576.

"That is embarrassing! And it reveals how the Obidient movement has been eroded as a political force. Stripped of its ability to use ethnicity and religion to divide the electorate, the organisation collapses like a pack of cards.

"I congratulate Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo on his victory. Without a godfather, he has achieved this stunning victory. We recall that Peter Obi was only able to secure his own victory after Dim Emeka Ojukwu raised his hand. Soludo rode on his own popularity, while Obi piggybacked on Ojukwu's fame.

"Professor Soludo's victory is a testament to the widespread support he has garnered in Anambra. With this victory, he has proven that he is the undisputed political leader of Ndi Anambra, and all others, such as Peter Obi, who have projected themselves in this role, are merely pretenders.

"As for Peter Obi, I can only ask him to get used to the way he is feeling today, because he will feel that way again in 2027."
