Amid tears, Bam Bam urges Nigerians to priorities health checkups amid rising cancer deaths

Reality television star and actress, Olawunmi Adenibuyan, popularly known as Bam Bam, has urged Nigerians to take their health seriously by embracing regular medical checkups amid increasing cases of cancer-related deaths.

The actress made the appeal in an emotional post shared on her Instagram page, where she revealed that cancer had claimed the lives of “two people I deeply care about.”

Bam Bam, while expressing grief and frustration, also lamented the growing insecurity and hardships confronting Nigerians, saying citizens are constantly battling one tragedy after another.

“What’s the solution, people?” she asked. “We’ve cried. We’ve made flyers. We’ve wailed. We’ve prayed. Yet the pain keeps coming.”

The reality star decried the rising incidents of kidnappings, loss, grief, and fear across the country, questioning the government’s response to the challenges.

“And honestly… where is the government in all of this? How many more people need to go missing? How many more families need to mourn before safety, healthcare, and human lives are treated like a priority?” she wrote.

Calling on Nigerians to cherish their loved ones and show more compassion, Bam Bam stressed the importance of kindness and emotional support, noting that many people silently battle pain and trauma.

“Please check on your people. Call them. Love them loudly. Be kinder. Be softer with people. You truly never know what someone is carrying,” she added.

Speaking specifically on cancer, the actress described the disease as devastating and urged people not to ignore warning signs or delay medical attention.

“Please do regular health checkups. Please listen to your body. Please take your health seriously. Please don’t wait till it’s too late,” she stated.

Bam Bam concluded her message with prayers for grieving families, victims of insecurity, and national unity, while calling for improved healthcare, better leadership, and stronger humanity.

“We deserve better. Better security. Better healthcare. Better leadership. Better humanity,” she wrote.
