Founder of Stanbic IBTC Bank Plc, Atedo Peterside, has shared his thoughts on government’s decision to remove the “All Eyes On The Judiciary” billboards across the country.

In a Twitter post, Peterside said that the “All Eyes On The Judiciary” ‘slogan is not offensive. He described it as a neutral slogan that should ordinarily not offend a right thinking and sincere person in a civilised society.

The slogan comes following the presidential election tribunal that is yet to deliver its verdict on the petitions challenging the victory of President Bola Tinubu in the 2023 presidential election.

Few days ago, the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON) ordered the removal of all billboards with the message “All Eyes On The Judiciary”.

The council also dissolved its Advertising Standards Panel and suspended the director and deputy director of regulations for approving the ‘All Eyes On The Judiciary’ billboards.

Reacting to the development, Peterside stated that the slogan should not have been offensive to a right-thinking person.

He tweeted;

“For the record, methinks #AllEyesOnTheJudiciary is a neutral slogan that should ordinarily not offend a right-thinking and sincere person in a civilised society.

“I can understand someone rejecting a negative slogan like let us turn our noses up at the judiciary. Enough said".
