Akeredolu appoints new CPS, CoS

Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu

Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN), has reappointed, Mr. Olugbenga Ale and Mr Richard Olabode, as the Chief of Staff and Chief Press Secretary, respectively.

This development came barely six days after the governor was inaugurated for his second and final term in office.

The announcement was contained in a statement issued by the Senior Special Assistant on Research and Documentation, Kunle Adebayo, in Akure, on Monday.

Ale and Olabode served in the first term administration of Akeredolu. While Ale served as the Chief of Staff, Olabode was the Special Assistant to the governor on New Media.

The statement read in part, “As a key move to hit the ground running in service of the people in his second tenure, the Governor of Ondo State Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (SAN), has approved the appointment of Chief Olugbenga Ale as his Chief of Staff, while Mr Olabode Richard, is appointed as Chief Press Secretary to the governor.

“Chief Olugbenga Ale is a retired permanent secretary of the Ondo State Civil Service while Mr Olabode Richard is a practicing broadcast Journalist.”

According to the statement, the appointments took immediate effect.
