Human rights advocate Aisha Yesufu has called for the dismissal of Bayo Onanuga, President Bola Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy.

Her stance arose after Onanuga publicly mocked prominent opposition figures, including Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, and Rotimi Amaechi, in the wake of the All Progressives Congress's recent victory in Saturday's bye-elections.

In a provocative post on X, Onanuga quipped about the defeat of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), asking, “How is the market now?" this comment drew widespread criticism and calls for accountability.

Responding, Yesufu wrote: “I, Aisha Yesufu, as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and my Special Adviser Information & Strategy puts out a message like this!

“He or she will be fired immediately!

As Nigeria doesn’t currently have a President, anything goes! Poor Nigeria.”
