Afghanistan Taliban criticizes flogging of thieves in Nigeria; offers to send professional floggers to teach technique

The Taliban-ruled Afghanistan Government has criticised a video of some Nigerians flogging two thieves who were apprehended for stealing a generator in Port Harcourt, Rivers state capital.

On Tuesday, September 19, an X user called Port Harcourt People shared a video showing the thieves being flogged by some men.

In the video, the two thieves were tied to their back and flogged mercilessly with bundle of canes.

Reacting to the video, the Taliban Public Relations Department took to the comment section to describe the flogging as disorderly and disorganised.

According to the group who disagreed with the way the thieves were been flogged offered to send some heroic professional floggers to the Africa to teach the proper flogging technique.

The Taliban PRD wrote;

“This flogging is disorganised, and disorderly, and causes the convicts unnecessary distress. If such practices persist, the industry as a whole will suffer. We are willing to send our heroic professional floggers to Africa to teach the proper technique,” the post reads.
